Also if you are ANEMIC and take IRON SUPPLEMENTS DO NOT TAKE WITH CAFFEINE. No coffee, caffeinated tea, etc. The caffeine will block iron absorption and you won’t actually get any of that iron that you just took!!
Same with thyroid meds. I had my dose upped like three times before stumbling across the info that I shouldn’t be taking it with my morning coffee.

Why are you anti the CW? It's the network with the best rep, per GLAAD. Its new line-up is chock full of rep. It's trying more than any other major network, so I kinda don't understand the objections unless it's entirely about the SPN finale.
i am 99% sure this is just bait, but in case this is a good faith question, Warner Brothers (the company who owns the CW) is in Poor standing according to GLAAD in regards to their treatment of queer representation.
(from twitter) Here is a google doc detailing the treatment of minority characters in CW shows, 441 disappointing and in some cases triggering examples of misuse and abuse. While the CW has the highest percentage of representation, it also has the highest percentages of racism and homophobia. The rep is purely for advertisement purposes. If The CW cared about its representation, it would treat its minority characters differently.
A few examples of The CW’s treatment of ‘representation’:
We’ve literally got hundreds thousands of cis women who think trans men are all victimized by the trans community’s mere existence and need to be rescued from themselves and giving each other tips on how to do so, and they all generally tend to have a fixation on a specific genitalia set to the point where reading what they have to say about trans men like myself feels a lot more like they see me as nothing but a vagina that somehow can type. I regret not taking screenshots of this one blog that made me physically ill with describing her sexual fantasy of converting a trans man into a lesbian by loving him and “teaching” him to “love [his] female body”. They talk over us and about us, what they think is best for us, and don’t give a shit when we tell them how they’re hurting us. There’s a whole article some woman saw nothing wrong with writing about this Starbucks she supposedly went to where all the staff were trans men and she just projected her ideas of what we must feel seeing her, a butch lesbian, and how we must secretly wish we were like her. (Spoiler: we really don’t).
So when are we gonna talk about TERFs’ weird and creepy savior complex around trans men
And I’m so uncomfortable with all of it. Not sorry, I don’t trust that people like this even view me as a person. If you’re trying to convert me into a cis woman, I don’t believe you care how I feel about anything, I don’t believe you’ll respect my boundaries, and I don’t believe you’ll listen when I tell you no.
It’s like, a genuine problem that trans men “chasers” tend to be cis lesbians- in part because they see us as lost lesbians they can personally save, but also for some other truly disturbing reasons.
Trans men are uniquely isolated, and this is a major problem that mostly doesn’t get addressed. The dominant way of thinking about this is that trans men actually only face as much violence as cis women do, if that, because they have “male privilege” and must be treated like cis men. I shouldn’t have to explain why this isn’t true. The oppression trans men must face is seen as “only transphobia”, an imagined baseline of oppression that is exclusively related to the fact that we’re trans- also not true. (In fact, trans men face specific oppression for being trans, for being read as women- misogyny- and for being men when we “aren’t supposed to be”).
So trans men’s problems go unaddressed, there aren’t really resources available to us if we’re abused, and seeking out help is generally uncomfortable and unproductive, if not outright dangerous. Which means trans men are viewed, by many chasers, as “easy to control”. We’re appealing to many cis people because we don’t have a lot of recognition as a group, our problems aren’t viewed as real or serious, and oftentimes speaking up about them has us decried as misogynists (for implying men need help sometimes) or transmisogynists (because talking about our problems in our own spaces somehow detracts from trans women’s problems- and mind you, this is largely a cis line of thought).
It’s, uh, bad. TERF bioessentialism hurts us, TERFs hurt us, and the TERF-created but widely accepted idea that “all men are oppressors” has left trans men as a population uniquely vulnerable to real-world abuse and violence.
They also focus a Lot on autistic trans men which is creepy as hell

At its basest, it’s infantilising as fuck and assumes that, as autistic people, we have no say about our own gender identities or lives. It also feels like they generally think autistic people are gullible as fuck? Like we’ve been conned into identifying as trans, but all it’ll take to “save” us is to have like a single conversation? When they’re being more charitable, it’s stuff about autistic trans men and non-binary people “mixing up gender roles/presentation with identity” and “identifying as trans when they’re just tomboyish women, and not knowing the difference”. It’s such bullshit on a theoretical level, but they genuinely think that we’re too stupid to think for ourselves and that we need EXTRA saving compared to neurotypical trans men (notice that, during J. K. Rowling’s terf essay, her one mention of transgender men is to bemoan how many “autistic females” identify as trans? She’s not the only one to hone in on autistic afabs as being “at risk” of being “converted by the trans cult”).
On top of all THAT, lot of autistic people have histories of bullying and being ostracised by their peers growing up, and it means that as a general group, autistic people can easily develop low enough self-esteem that they can fall into - and struggle to leave - abusive or exploitative relationships. Abuse is something that anyone can suffer from, but feelings if isolation, a feeling of loyalty to people or groups that don’t reject us, low self-esteem and other co-morbid mental health issues, and a higher likelihood of poverty and unemployment can make autistic people more vulnerable to abuse. These TERF chasers love to use this point in their favour by claiming that they’re trying to save “autistic women” from “the trans cult”, but if anything, the inverse is true; autistic trans men and non-binary people are targeted hardcore by TERFs because of these vulnerabilities, in the hopes that their surface-level of friendliness can cause us to join them.
Combining these factors - TERF perception of autistic trans men and non-binary people as being easy to save AND autistics as a group being more vulnerable to abuse - creates this clusterfuck where TERFs aren’t even being SUBTLE about their fucked-up saviour fetish. They openly talk on national news about how vulnerable they think we are to being perverted when they want to actively brainwash us, it’s disgusting and I’ll never be okay with that at all.
I’m honestly not sure why ppl are so resistant to talk about this, especially the part about autistic trans men/transmascs.
I mean, they kinda explained why people are resistant to talk about it, there’s some awful ingrained lines of thought involved that stem from initially true and important things:
- the view of all men as oppressors, and that that has to include all trans men
- the idea that talking about trans men’s issues means you’re belittling or ignoring trans women’s issues
both of these make it really difficult to take on these issues without getting called out by people with good intentions.
and frankly the part about autistic transmascs is likely to be resisted for the same reasons as any other intersectional issue:
- you’re talking about a subset of a subset (people who are trans-masc and also autistic) so there must be fewer of them so it’s not as important
- you’re talking about TWO groups that people are unlikely to care about, so the people who care about trans issues may not be willing to engage with an autism issue and vice versa.
